Finding Greyfriars Bobby
The story of Greyfriars Bobby was made world famous by the 1961 Walt Disney film of the same name. Bobby the actor dog was adopted by the author’s family after the film. This is the true story of how Disney found him, his life after the film and the search to find his lost grave nearly 50 years after he died.

Dave Hunter (born 1968) grew up in Portobello, Edinburgh where he still lives with his wife Karen. He is an experienced IT professional and works at one of the UKs largest banks.
His interests include film, Scottish history and food & drink. As a former athlete, he is also an avid sports fan and especially enjoys following his beloved Hibernian FC.
Bobby the Disney star dog was adopted by David’s family after the film, and he has fond memories of him. David has enjoyed writing this book to document the story for posterity.
